The Team: PPG Lawyers is made of professionals with years of experience in their chosen field of expertise. All of them have practised as senior attorneys, consultants and litigators in various local and international law firms and corporations. Some of our experts have been part of BG regulators and institutions teams in the past and therefore are well acquainted with the practice from the inside. Dr Irena Georgieva is the founder and manager of PPG Lawyers with more than fifteen years of experience in public procurement and data protection matters.
She has built the team of PPG Lawyers by bringing together motivated attorneys and consultants with long-standing expertise tightly focused in the areas of regulation we consult.
Our managing partner Dr. Irena Georgieva was one of the key speakers at the Sofia Business School 2019 (Autumn edition) of the New Bulgarian University (SBS) , SBS took place from 8 to 10 November 2019 with main subject – “Digital Transformation”. During her panel Dr. Georgieva spoke about Artificial Intelligence and the Legal Services. The topic raised a very interesting and fruitful discussion about the future of the legal services in the time of disruptive technologies.
We were happy to have Boris Alexov from the University of Groningen as our trainee in PPG Lawyers. Wishing him success at the exchange program of the Surrey University and were glad to show him the the BG legal system in a nutshell!
Att. Mariya Papazova became a member of the newly formed Alumni Club of the Bulgarians who graduated from a university in the United Kingdom. The club was established by the organisation of Bulgarian graduates abroad Tuk-Tam with the support of the British Embassy in Bulgaria.
PPG Lawyers, together with the New Bulgarian University, organised and held successfully the International Public Procurement Conference on 7 June 2019 in Sofia. The event is the first of its kind in Bulgaria and it is of high significance due to the fact that world-famous names and experts in the field of public procurement have arrived in our country to finally open the way for a broather discussion of the problems in the awarding process in Bulgaria and in Europe.
